Police and firefighters in Orlando are sorting out how a man died in a car fire only a short time after telling firefighters he was fine.
The firefighters responded to the vehicle shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday when it was reported stuck in a ditch after running off the road. The driver of the vehicle told the firefighters that he was fine and just waiting for police to come to complete a report on the accident.
When police arrived at around 6:30, however, the vehicle was burning and someone they believe is the the man who spoke to firefighters was inside. Firefighters again responded to the crash and extinguished the fire. The man’s dead body was in the vehicle.
