One Dead, Two Hurt, in Pittsburgh Heavy Clutter Fire

PITTSBURGH — One person was killed, and two people were hurt in a fire Friday morning according to WTAE.

Firefighters responded to the 600 block of Bigelow Street before 3:30 a.m. for a house fire.

Fire Chief Darryl Jones said the dwelling was heavily packed with contents making it “labor intensive” for firefighters to work in.

The person who died was found on the second floor.

Two other people were transported to a hospital.

Two firefighters suffered from heat exhaustion and were treated at the scene.

Chief Jones told WTAE that additional firefighters were brought to the scene, resulting in the incident being a four-alarm fire.
