Oklahoma Firefighter Killed in House Fire

JACKSON COUNTY, Oklahoma — An Oklahoma fire died Friday evening during a house fire, according to KSWO.

The fire occurred after 5:30 p.m. at a home near County Roads 206 and 160, a mile north of Altus.

The Blair Fire Department chief, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department reported the death of the firefighter.  No name has been officially released at this time, however the Blair Fire Department Facebook page identifies the fallen firefighter as Maddy Clinton.

Firefighters from Altus, Blair and the Altus Air Force Base battled the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
