HENRY COUNTY, Virginia — Thousands mourned the death of a local fire chief and his wife in a bizarre crash on Friday as reported by WSLS.
Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department Chief Charlie Bradshaw and his wife Sherri died after a tree on the side of the road fell and struck their car.
The Bradshaw’s two grandchildren were in the back seat and suffered minor injuries.

Chief Bradshaw served as chief since 2007. Prior to that he was a member of the Fieldale Rescue Squad in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
