Nova Scotia Firefighter Dies after Training Accident

TRURO, Nova Scotia — A Nova Scotia firefighter has died after being injured while training earlier this month.

CTV Atlantic reports that Truro Fire Service firefighter Skyler Blackie died after being injured during a routine training exercise on March 9, 2019.

The injury occurred at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in Waverly.

The Department of Labour and Nova Scotia Firefighters School are investigating the incident.
