Zachary firefighters responded to a report of a car through the roof of a house Saturday night, and that’s exactly what they found.
A woman suffered a probable medical emergency while she was driving and hew vehicle struck a tree and was sent flying through the roof of a home in the 2300 block of Rita street.
The accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. Two children who were in the house at the time of the accident were not hurt.
Firefighters extricated the woman from the vehicle and she was transported to the hospital via air ambulance in serious condition.
