North Carolina Firefighter Dies after Rescue

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A Orange Rural Fire Department firefighter died on the job Monday afternoon, according to a release from the Town of Hillsborough. 

The firefighter had made a rescue call earlier in the day. He was found unresponsive at the station around 1:30 p.m. Revival attempts by the crew on shift, and by emergency workers who arrived on the scene were unsuccessful, the release said.
