Newark Apparatus Shop

A look inside Newark’s “Motors”

FL92002 – We are in a location known as “Motors” for Newark Fire Department, which is also utilized by the DPW and the Newark Police Department.

It’s what’s known elsewhere as Fleet Services Division.

This is where rigs are serviced and repaired so they can be put back onto the front line. In here, we see a bunch of front line engines and ladders, including NFD’s Rescue 1, plus a bunch of older E-One spares.

Some rigs are American LaFrance, another is KME, if I am not mistaken. There is also a 2018 Ford F350 Battalion Chief car.

For anyone needing to know, I was given permission to be here and walk around.

Enjoy the view of all of the different types of rigs. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.
