New Details Released About Crash That Killed Memphis (TN) Firefighter

With planning underway for the funeral for Memphis Firefighter David Pleasant, more details are coming out about the crash that killed him.

Pleasant died when a pickup truck ran a red light and collided with a fire engine, resulting in the truck rolling on its side injuring three firefighters and killing Pleasant.

Now police are releasing more information about the driver of the pickup truck involved in the accident. They say the driver was speeding, ran a red light, and operating with a suspended license, WREG reports.

The driver remains hospitalized in a medically induced coma.
