Missouri Firefighter Killed in Crash

HILLSBORO, MO. (KSDK) – A local fire department is mourning the loss of one of their own men after a fatal crash Tuesday morning.

The young volunteer firefighter, father and Marine from Hillsboro, Missouri, died in a car crash. His fellow firefighters who got the call weren’t able to save him.

Hillsboro Fire Department’s Assistant Chief Brian Gaudet identified the man as former Marine and father of two Zach Crowley, 25.

“It’s been a tough day here for everyone. It’s a tough loss on our current fire fighters, and what they’re having to go through in having to run on one of their own.” said Gaudet.
