Minnetonka (MN) Firefighter Suffers Severe Head Injury in Freak Training Accident

Minnetonka Firefighter Tim Tripp suffered a serious head injury last Saturday while helping a new firefighter train on the department apparatus.

Tripp and the new firefighter were using the department’s pumper truck to flood an ice skating rink with water when he slipped and hit his head.

He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where he underwent surgery to relieve pressure in his cranial cavity.

The department has established a Gofundme page for Tripp’s family to assist with expenses.
