PRESS RELEASE

Sandy Hook, Connecticut, July 27, 2023 — Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. (MES) announces the significant expansion of its Fire Apparatus Division, underscoring our commitment to delivering solutions to fire departments across the nation. In addition to our existing Fire Apparatus offerings, MES has formalized a Sales Representative Agreement with leading fire apparatus manufacturer, HME Ahrens-Fox. This strategic partnership paves the way for the exclusive distribution of two custom pumper products via MES’s extensive and highly-skilled sales network.

In response to the escalating demand for reliable fire apparatus, MES has preemptively secured production slots beginning in 2024. This move guarantees a steady stream of rapid delivery apparatus to fire departments seeking timely replacement pumpers. This initiative is designed to mitigate the protracted lead times that have become the industry norm, providing expedited and efficient solutions to fire departments nationwide.

In order to spearhead this expansion, MES introduces Bill Doebler in the role of Senior Vice President of Apparatus. Bringing with him over three decades of notable experience in leadership positions within several fire apparatus manufacturing companies, Doebler’s expertise will allow for the rapid expansion of MES’s Apparatus business. In addition, Bill has a rich history in firefighting, serving as a volunteer firefighter for 20 years in upstate New York and reaching the position of Assistant Fire Chief. His knowledge and insight will be critical for driving MES’s apparatus business growth and meeting the needs of fire departments nationwide.

John Skaryak, EVP of Fire Sales & Service, noted: “I am excited about MES’s significant investment to expand our Emergency Apparatus business segment. With the addition of Bill Doebler to our team, we have gained an experienced, proven leader who has a strong track record of developing sales and service teams to support key growth initiatives. Furthermore, our new Sales Representative Agreement with HME will enable us to provide our customers with custom emergency apparatus, offering some of the best lead times in the industry.”

MES looks forward to a successful collaboration with HME Ahrens-Fox as they continue to provide reliable and innovative solutions to fire departments across the United States.
