Man and woman saved in Prince George’s County fire

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WJLA) – Firefighters have removed a man and a woman trapped in the basement of a home during a fire Friday morning in Fort Washington, Maryland.

Officials say both individuals are being treated by medics and were transported to an area hospital. ABC7’s John Gonzalez reports that one person is in critical condition and the other is in serious but stable condition. Firefighters extinguished the fire in the basement.

The fire occurred at a single-family home in the 3000 block of Marquis Drive.
