Maryland Firefighter Injured in Two-Alarm Blaze

LAUREL, Md. (WUSA9) – A firefighter was injured after an apartment fire in Laurel Saturday evening.

Fire crews responded to a two-alarm fire at Fox Rest apartments located in the 13900 block of Briar Drive.  

The injured firefighter was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say 22 residents have been displaced from nine units. They are being treated by Red Cross.  

Montgomery County firefighters assisted with extinguishing the fire.

Officials are investigating the cause.
