Man Dead in Virginia Townhome Fire

One dead, one injured in Loudoun County

STERLING, Va. (WJLA) – A man died and another person was injured in a townhouse fire early Sunday morning in Sterling, Virginia.

Loudoun County Fire officials say the unidentified man suffered life-threatening injuries and died from his injuries at an area hospital.

Another person with burn injuries suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Burn Center at MedStar Washington Hospital. One resident at the scene refused medical attention.

Firefighters responded to a townhome fire in the 200 block of Giles Place.

A cause of the fire is unknown at this time and officials say an investigation is underway.
