Los Angeles (CA) Firefighters Rescue Three Who Plunged Off Cliff, One Victim Dead

Los Angeles County firefighters responded to Palos Verdes Estates Monday morning when four people plunged off a 300-foot cliff.

The call came in at about 4:40 a.m. One of the victims managed to climb to the top of the cliffs and summon help. Upon descending the cliff, firefighters found three victims below. Two were air-lifted from the scene. The fourth victim, a man, was dead.

The scenic cliffs are a popular destination. The details of how the four people went over the cliffs remain unclear, with some reports suggesting they were in a vehicle while others say they were on foot.
