Listen: 911 Dispatcher Coaches FL Couple Through CPR to Revive Baby Who Fell in Pool

A Volusia County 911 dispatcher coached a couple through CPR Sunday after they discovered a two-year-old baby who had fallen in a swimming pool.

The baby was initially unresponsive when the people babysitting found her in the pool at about 5 p.m. in De Leon Springs. As they waited for Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies to arrive, the dispatcher instructed them in how to conduct CPR until police arrived.

The harrowing story had a happy ending, as the baby regained consciousness following CPR and was taken to the hospital where she appeared to have no ill-effects.
