

A tractor-trailer overturned and in the woods in Douglas
The driver of a tractor-trailer had to be extricated from the truck’s cab early Saturday morning, after becoming entrapped when the vehicle overturned in the area of 173 Webster St.
According to the Douglas Fire Department, the accident occurred shortly after 2 a.m.
When Douglas Fire and EMS arrived at the scene it was determined that the driver was entrapped, necessitating a prolonged extrication.
While Douglas Fire and EMS personnel began to assess the driver and begin extrication, mutual aid was summoned from Webster and Uxbridge for “heavy rescues,” as well as and engine from Northbridge to the scene.
The Sutton Fire Department was also requested for an engine to secure the a landing zone for a LifeFlight.
EMS crews transport the driver of a tractor-trailer that overturned in Douglas early Saturday.
The driver was flown to UMass Trauma Center at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries, according to Douglas fire officials.
