Fire and police respond for a man on scaffolding

(LAFD, YouTube)

LAFD – HOLLYWOOD – For over 9 hours on January 31, 2020, a man moved about on a 30-foot scaffolding above the Hollywood Walk of Fame, on equipment set up for the Academy Awards (Oscars).

After offering ladders, a scissor lift, and rescue air cushions, it seemed the man had no intention of accepting help down and was enjoying the attention. LAFD and LAPD left just after 2:00 A.M. on February 1, 2020.

The man stayed up there well into the next day.
