Firefighter Nicholas “Pop” Prioli, 89, passed away after responding to a car crash. A retired chemist, Priopli joined the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company # 1 at the age of 63, and stayed active for 26 years.
NJ.com reports that Prioli maintained his certifications and trained countless firefighters on how to perform CPR. His final call came on Saturday, Oct. 23 when he responded to assist at a car accident. He suffered a medical emergency returning home from the fire station.
