Be first on the scene
The Battle Creek Volunteer Fire Department, assisted by the Ida Grove Fire Department responded to a fully-involved combine fire.
Our first grass rig, 372 (truck I was in), made an inital attack on the head of the combine, and the bean field. When the second brush truck, 371, arrived, I pulled a line and hit the rear of the combine. 379, 373 and tankers from Ida Grove supplied the two grass rigs with water.
