
Fire truck left the roadway while en route to a fire

ROANE COUNTY, West Virginia — Clover Volunteer Fire Department members faced an unexpected call Saturday that has left them working out where to go from here.
West Virginia Firefighter Dies in Crash
WSAZ reports that Firefighter Mark Norwich was killed when the fire engine he was driving to a fire left the roadway and crashed.
The incident occurred on a section of Big Sandy Road near Interstate 79 and Newton at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Firefighter Horwich is survived by his wife and three children.
Horwich served in the fire service for over 20 years and was a founder of Fire Station Software.
Clover Fire Chief Jason Conrad told WSAZ that Horwich was a “good, outstanding guy who love the fire service.”
The department says that funeral arrangements are pending.
