Humphreys County (TN) Firefighter Charged With Arson Spree; Firehouse, Church Among Targets

A Humphreys County volunteer firefighter has been arrested and charged with six counts of arson.

The Humphreys County Sheriff said Leslie Roy Winchester, 19, is accused of setting a string of recent suspicious fires around the county beginning on June 13.

Fires were reported at a church, vacant home, an old fire hall, a lodge and old furniture store. The sheriff said Winchester confesses to starting the fires, and he showed up to fight some of the fires he started.
