Richmond’s Fox Elementary School was destroyed by fire Friday night.
Richmond Department responded to a fire call at the school, along the 2300 Hanover Avenue. at about 10:35 p.m. Flames were already through the roof when firefighters arrived.
After an initial interior attack, firefighters had to retreat and maintain an exterior attack. It took more than three hours to get the fire under control.
