A Tesla owner called the California City Fire Department last week when he was alerted by his phone that his car had burst into flames.

The owner got the notification of the car’s alarm going off, and when he looked out the window to see what was happening, he saw the vehicle beginning to burn.

Firefighters responded and protected nearby structures from the fire. They then extinguished the vehicle fire, the department said via Facebook.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
