DEKALB COUNTY, Georgia – FOX 5 Atlanta reports that DeKalb County firefighters saved one of their own after he fell through a floor during an overnight hotel fire.

Firefighters responded to the Oyo Hotel near the Wesley Chapel Road and Interstate 20 exit around midnight Monday morning.

Smoke was showing from the three-story building when firefighters arrived.

As firefighters fought the fire, one of them fell through the second floor. A rapid intervention team was deployed and rescued the firefighter.

The firefighter was reportedly uninjured and went back to work fighting the fire.
