Furniture Factory Flash Fire Sends Two High Point (NC) Firefighters to Hospital

Two firefighters from the High Point Fire Department suffered burn injuries Monday at a fire at a furniture factory.

The fire was called in around 1:30 p.m. at High Point Furniture Industries.

Firefighters thought it was a routine sawdust fire in the sawdust collection room, but it violently burst into flames, injuring the firefighters, Fox 8 reports.

Both firefighters are expected to be OK.
