Quint 33 catches fire after leaving maintenance shop

FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth fire truck is a total loss after catching fire on a highway Friday afternoon.

11/21 CBS DFW reports that the truck, Quint 33, burned on Highway 360 while returning from a maintenance shop.

The driver stopped when he saw smoke in his side mirrors and flames coming out from underneath the fire truck.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle. He was able to get out before the fire truck became engulfed in flames.
