Scuffle while mother, child in ambulance

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Florida – A workplace violence policy has been strictly enforced after a video and complaint show a fight between two firefighters in Osceola County, according to WFTV.
Two Osceola County firefighters were fired and a lieutenant demoted after a fight during an EMS call in October of last year.
In the incident firefighters from Station 42 in Kissimmee responded to a call for a child having trouble breathing.
After the mother and child were placed in the ambulance the two firefighters grappled with each other.
The fight ended when they noticed a civilian watching them.
The civilian contacted the fire department to complain about the behavior of the two firefighters and an investigation was started.
Investigators said that the trouble began in the firehouse when horseplay got out of hand. The two firefighters were in their 44th hour of a 48-hour shift.
In statements made to the investigators both firefighters admitted to being tired and that they went too far.
The Osceola County fire chief fired both firefighters and demoted a lieutenant who was also on the scene but did not witness the fight.
