In this Fleet Friday, Lieutenant Ben Sipe provides a tour of Decontamination Unit “Decon” 17.
The vehicle is a 2013 International Durastar with an Alfred Industries cargo body. This vehicle was originally named “Decon 3” as reflected by the decals that have not been updated yet.
Several of these units were distributed to fire departments in the Denver area as part of the Metropolitan Medical Response System or “MMRS” with the goal of efficient response to incidents requiring mass decontamination.
