First Responders Face Double the Risk of COVID-19 Infection

First responders, including ambulance and fire department personnel, face twice the risk of contracting COVID-19 as other essential workers, such as front-line health care workers.

The University of Arizona Health Sciences study showed first responders had a 13.2% chance of getting infected versus a 6.7% exposure rate for other essential workers.

More information is available about the study from the University of Arizona Health Sciences.
