On Saturday night, the Manchester Fire Department will host Boston Fire in a fundraising hockey game at JFK Memorial Coliseum in Manchester to benefit the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation.
Capt. Steve DesRuisseaux spent three weeks at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston recovering from the second- and third-degree burns he suffered to more than 40% of his body while attempting to rescue people from an apartment fire.
The Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation put DesRuisseaux’s wife up in a hospital for the three weeks he was recovering.
