Firefighter, Occupant Dead in Pennsylvania House Fire

Two people killed in Monroe Township fire

WGAL reports that the firefighter killed in this morning’s house fire has been identified as Jerome Guise of Citizen’s Fire Company.

Firefighter Guise was a father to three children and a member of the fire company for over 20 years.


PennLive reports that the fallen firefighter was caught in a porch roof collapse.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pennsylvania — Two people have died after a house fire in Cumberland County according to FOX43.

Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1500 block of Boiling Springs Road in Monroe Township at approximately 2:00 a.m. Monday morning.

A husband and wife were in the home at the time of the fire. The Cumberland County Coroner told FOX43 that the wife as well as a firefighter died in the fire.

There were no details released on the firefighter or the condition of the husband.
