Fire Rips Through Roof of Philadelphia (PA) Catholic School

A three-alarm fire damaged the historic Our Mother of Consolation Parish School in Chestnut Hill Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the school, located at 17 E. Chestnut Hill Ave. at around 3:45 p.m., CBS Philadelphia reported.

No one was inside the school at the time of the fire.

The convent next door was evacuated as a precaution. The fire was under control by 5:20 p.m.
