Fire Destroys Eastford (CT) Congregational Church

A three-alarm fire has destroyed the Congregational Church of Eastford early Sunday.

Deputy Chief James Roy told WINY that the fire started just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning.

The structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived and no interior attach was attempted. The building is a total loss.

No injuries were reported. Firefighters form a dozen area towns responded to assist with firefighting and establishing a tanker shuttle.
