AGUA DULCE, California – KABC reports that the critically wounded Los Angeles County fire captain shot at his fire station in Agua Dulce last week has been identified.
Captain Arnie Sandoval, 54, has undergone several surgeries and is expected to survive the fatal shooting by an off-duty firefighter that killed Firefighter Specialist Tony Carlon.
The off-duty firefighter, Jonathan Tatone, had been involved in an ongoing feud with Carlon that culminated in the fire station shooting and Tatone taking his own life after setting his home on fire.
The details of the work-related feud have not be provided.
A GoFundMe for Captain Sandoval continues to grow.
