The engine company is the workhorse of the modern fire service. Prepared for any disaster, it will likely be first on scene at a mass-casualty incident (MCI)  and must be prepared to deploy its members to achieve maximum impact in the opening minutes of the incident. This interactive presentation calls on all levels of experience from the volunteer or junior member taking instructions to the engineer’s specific role, all the way past the engine officer commanding the incident. It includes tips for the first-in chief and for how engine bosses can relay information swiftly and accurately. No vests, no tarps, no tags, just solid skills and procedures so the first-in engine can make the first 90 seconds guide the next 90 minutes. Scenarios and tips and tricks for preparing, drilling, and deployment of the engine company at an MCI are included.
