Driver Dead in Collision with Cleveland Fire Truck

CLEVELAND (NEWS 5) – Two separate crashes with Cleveland fire trucks left a driver dead and a firefighter injured.

Cleveland fire officials tell News 5 that ladder 30 was returning to their station around 12:20 a.m. Monday when they were hit head-on at East 103rd Street and St. Clair Avenue which is just feet from their Station at 10225 St. Clair Avenue. 

The ladder truck was in the curb lane going with the flow of traffic and not responding to an emergency call, according to firefighters.
