Deputies Need Information in Murder of Florida Firefighter

Coral Springs firefighter’s death ruled a homicide

LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Florida — A Florida sheriff’s office is calling the death of a firefighter a homicide, according to WPLG.

The Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department confirmed that the body found on the weekend is that of Firefighter Paramedic Christopher Randazzo.

Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies found Randazzo’s body in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea on Saturday.

Randazzo was last seen leaving Village Grill at approximately 1:00 a.m. Saturday.

The homicide took place between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. at 4520 El Mar Drive.

On Tuesday, firefighters gathered to escort Randazzo’s body from the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office to a North Lauderdale funeral home.

A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Serenity Funeral Home. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs.

Randazzo’s body will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Funeral Home following the service

Deputies urge anyone with information to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of $3,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
