DC Fire and EMS Firefighter Shot and Killed

DC Fire and EMS Firefighter Carl Braxton was shot and killed Monday afternoon.

Braxton, an eight-year-veteran of the department. was 30.

Braxton was killed in his neighborhood in Bryans Road, Maryland where he lived with his girlfriend, a fellow firefighter, with whom he shared two young sons.

Details of the shooting remain unclear, but initial reports say a neighbor may have been involved in the shooting.
