Dallas (TX) Firefighter Injured in Fatal Morning House Fire

A house fire in Dallas killed one person this morning. A firefighter and another person in the house had to be rushed to the hospital with injuries.

Dallas Fire-Rescue was called about 6:50 a.m. to the one-story residence in the 7900 block of Briaridge Road, near Coit Road. When they arrived they found thick, black smoke and heavy fire coming from the house and called for additional units.

Firefighters entered the home to try to rescue the occupants, KRLD reported. They removed one person who had died from the house. A man in the house suffered burns ,and a firefighter had to go to the hospital with smoke inhalation injuries. He’s expected to recover.
