A gunman carjacked a D.C. Fire & EMS Ambulance Saturday morning as EMS workers treated a patient in the vehicle.
The incident happened at 9:00 a.m. near Martin Luther King Jr. and Chicago Street, Southeast. The ambulance had responded to a report of an injured person at that location. As ems personnel treated the patient in the back of the ambulance, the armed carjacker showed them his gun and threatened them.
The D.C. Fire & EMS personnel and the others exited out of the ambulance without further harm, and the carjacker drove away in the ambulance.
The ambulance was later recovered. There is a $10,000 reward for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the attacker.
MPD seeks a suspect in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense of a DC Fire and EMS ambulance that occurred on Saturday, June 4, 2022, in the area of MLK Jr. Avenue and Chicago St., Southeast.
