CT Fire Engine Rammed at Highway Crash Scene

A passing vehicle smashed into a Windsor Locks fire engine on Interstate 91 south Wednesday morning while firefighters were tending to a crash scene.

The truck was unoccupied when it was struck at about 4 a.m. by a passing motorist at the scene of the earlier crash between exits 40 and 38A, NBC Connecticut reports.

No firefighters were injured in the accident. One individual was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,
