Clovis, CA Velocity® 110’ Ascendantâ„¢ Tandem Axle Platform

A new rig for the Clovis Fire Department

Pierce Manufacturing – Clovis, California can get extremely hot in the summertime. To combat the heat and keep firefighter’s turnout gear cool, the Clovis Fire Department added an additional shoreline inlet with an auxiliary RV air conditioner to their 110’ #AscendantPlatform. The #Velocity cab also has electric fold-down steps and vinyl covered seats to help decontaminate the area after structure fires. To reduce clutter, the map trays were moved to the sides of the EMS compartments.

The is the department’s third apparatus that’s equipped with #TAK4 T3 Independent Rear Steer Suspension. The all-wheel steer improves road performance and response time.
