
CINCINNATI (WLWT5) – As a result of the Fifth Third shootings at Fountain Square nearly one month ago, Cincinnati lawmakers are moving closer to a decision about buying ballistic helmets for all of its firefighters.
The next step in the process came Monday, when the Law and Public Safety Committee approved a motion to examine the costs.That would enable the full council to formally ask the administration Wednesday for a cost breakdown.
Law Committee Chairman and Vice Mayor Christopher Smitherman told us he hopes to know the final number in a couple of weeks.
