Chicago (IL) Judge to Rule Friday on Vaccine Mandate

A federal judge on Tuesday said he would rule Friday on a request by more than 100 Chicago firefighters to stop the city from mandating all firefighters get vaccinated against COVID-19.

However, U.S. District Judge John Lee’s comments suggested he may not be leaning toward ruling for the firefighters, the Chicago Tribune reports. Lee said he was “puzzled” by elements of the request to halt vaccine orders by Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

The judge gave lawyers until Thursday to submit clarifications about their argument. For more information, visit the Chicago Tribune.
