WASHINGTON (ABC7) – An early morning apartment fire on the 300 block of 37th Pl., SE., has displaced 21 people including 12 children, authorities say.

Two children were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Sadly, two dogs perished in the fire.

Efforts to extinguish the fire were hindered by a vehicle parked in front of the fire hydrant.
