EL CAJON, California — Two firefighters were injured this morning while battling a house fire in El Cajon.

KGTV reports that Heartland Fire & Rescue firefighters responded to the 1300 block of Helix View Drive at approximately 3:00 a.m.

The home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.

News video shows the moment a section of the structure collapsed and briefly trapped two firefighters.

The nature of injuries and condition of the firefighters was not reported.

The occupants were able to safely escape.
