A Massachusetts firefighter will recover after he fell through stairs while inside of a burning Brockton home.
Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli said crews encountered heavy flames and smoke on the first and second floors of the house fire at 69 Tilton Avenue Tuesday night.
While walking up stairs to the second floor, a staircase collapsed ]beneath the firefighter, sending him to the basement. He was able to self-extricate and after being checked out at the hospital was eager to return to the fire scene..
