BlaulichtBilder Berlin – On 07.10.2018 the Berlin fire brigade practiced the emergency in the tunnel training facility at Jungfernheide station.
Around 100 task forces were involved. Not only at the ‘Einsatzstelle’ but also in a special Kriesenstabsraum in Nikolaus-GroàŸ-Weg in Charlottenburg-Nord. There, the senior staff of the Berlin fire department was active. Both the firefighting in the underground station (tunnel) and the rescue of people from the subway were tested.
The Berlin fire brigade regularly exercises the tactical approach to operations in the subway, in order to be prepared in the worst possible case. In this video you can see the mission rides to the mentioned exercise. With normal vehicles such as several LHF’s, but also special vehicles such as: the LKW2 tail lift or the GW San of the DRC.
